A few days ago I saw a ziplock bag full of marshmallows on the kitchen table and sitting beside it, two intersecting tubes in the shape of a gun.
“Whatever is this?” I asked my roommate, who had just been to a craft show.
“It’s a marshmallow shooter!” she said, beaming at me. Then, she placed one of the marshmallows in the shooter, held it to her mouth and blew—and I watched as the marshmallow sailed across the room. “Isn’t it great!” she added once the exhibition was over.
I marveled at the concoction and began thinking of all of the clever uses for a marshmallow shooter. I came up with a few ideas:

Of course, though, Mom taught us not to play with our food (even when it is so tempting!). And after browsing the delicacies available at Marshmallow Mischief, the idea of shooting these delicious concoctions across the room is, let’s be honest, a complete waste. Lovers of dark chocolate, hazlenut, milk chocolate, peanut butter, vanilla, coconut and more will find something to treat their tastebuds.
Those who don’t live near San Francisco need not to fret, as this eclectic menu of marshmallow desserts can be found at www.marshmallow-mischief.com.
After all, the best use of a marshmallow is to be savored on your tongue!

Keep it Crispy! (and mischievous)
You want to give your Mom the world for Mother’s Day. After all, hasn’t she given you her world? A trip across Europe or the Far East isn’t in most families’ budget, but you can still bring flavors from around the world to Mom this year with marshmallow treats from Marshmallow Mischief.
Our all natural gourmet marshmallow and brown rice treats are a unique sweet for your sweet Mom. With only the finest ingredients, every bite says love. Even better? Every bite says, “We know what you like, Mom, and we found the best of it.”
Take Mom on a taste vacation with our Tropics to Tuscany Collection — travel from the classic Italian combination of hazelnut and chocolate to the South Pacific with crunchy macadamia and chewy coconut.

Tell Mom you love her with the a guiltless indulgence. Does she like her desserts Tall, Dark, and Crispy? Does she have a spicy, adventurous spirit? Our Gingerlicious and masala spiced marshamallow treats will excite her palate. This variety box tantalizes the senses.

Of course, there’s the Mom who knows what she wants. She wants rich chocolate through and through. Gift her with a full box of Tall, Dark and Crispy. Who can resist 4, 8, or even 16 of these intoxicating organic chocolate darlings?

Searching for that perfect Mother’s Day gift used to be daunting, but you’ve found the perfect answer. The only question left: will you share your secret? (We don’t mind if you do!)

We all remember the commercial—a group of friends are playing pool and arguing over who was better-Ginger or Mary Ann. Seemed kind of silly at the time, but everybody seemed to have their preference. The sweet girl next door Mary Ann, or the spicy, exotic Ginger?
What’s even more controversial (we think, anyway) than the competition between two fictional Castaways is the competition between the stars of our Cinnamon + Candied Ginger (Gingerlicious) treats. Which is better? Ginger or Cinnamon?
There’s no denying Ginger is a superstar in the spice world. Ginger has been treasured for millennia in Asia, where it is still an A-List spice for traditional healing. Ginger is a powerful anti-inflammatory and can help reduce the pain of arthritis, migraines, and even nausea. In its natural state, ginger adds heat and flavor to cuisines all over the world. Candied ginger is…well, utter perfection comes to mind. Exotic and glamorous, Ginger is definitely the hot one.
Cinnamon is as wholesome and familiar as hot cinnamon toast on a cold winter morning. Still, it has its own following of devoted fans who treasure the spice’s many health benefits. In addition to helping to lower bad cholesterol and stabilize blood sugar levels, cinnamon can also boost cognitive function and memory. So besides being sweet and comforting, Cinnamon’s also the smart one.
There’s no denying these are two gorgeous flavors—bold, spicy, exotic and sweet, nostalgic, and wholesome. It’s understandable that you might not be able to choose between them.
Fortunately, you don’t have to. The two spices get along famously in our all-natural Cinnamon + Candied Ginger (Gingerlicious) treats. Amazing, aromatic cinnamon, complemented with that awesome bite of candied ginger. In our modest opinion, it’s a combination that’s nothing short of genius.
If you can’t choose between exotic temptation and the spice-next-door, contact us. We can help.
When you think of marshmallows, odds are that you don’t think of the marsh mallow plant. Yes, there really is a marsh mallow plant. ![]()
According to TheNibble.com, Ancient Egyptians used to use the root of the plant (which produces a sticky, white, gelatinous substance) combined with honey – as a treatment for sore throats and coughs. That’s certainly some medicine that’s easy to bear!
Then those Egyptians turned that medicine into a candy. By extracting the sap from the marsh mallow plant, and combining it with nuts and honey, they created the precursor to our modern-day confection.
Marshmallows today don’t closely resemble their ancient counterpart – and our marshmallows don’t resemble the ones you’ll find at your local grocery store. The marsh mallow plant is no longer used in the production of marshmallows, and most commercial marshmallows today include gelatin, which you will never find in our marshmallows. We use the highest-quality gluten-free ingredients, and we hand-make our treats just for you. No mass production for us!
With a wide range of flavors – from Lava Aloha (coconut and chocolate) to Plain Jane (vanilla) to One, Two, Chai! Chai! Chai! (Masala Chai Black Tea) – we have something for every taste, for every occasion. Whether you select a box with just a single flavor, or an assortment, we’re sure you’ll appreciate the superior quality of ingredients we use to make our gelatin-free marshmallows.
While our marshmallows don’t have the medicinal properties the marshmallows of the ancient Egyptians did, we’re pretty sure you’ll feel better after eating one. Contact us to order yours now.
Seems like there are just a couple of classic marshmallow jokes that are always making the rounds. Perhaps you’ve heard one or both of these:
Last night I dreamed I was eating a giant marshmallow, and when I woke up, my pillow was gone!
Q: Why did the elephant stand on the marshmallow?
A: He didn’t want to fall into the hot chocolate.
Funny stuff, right? But two just doesn’t seem like enough marshmallow jokes, so we decided to make up a few of our own:
Q: Why didn’t people respect the marshmallow novelist?
A: Everyone thought his book was pure fluff.
Did you hear about the marshmallows who went camping? They sat around the campfire scaring each other with “roast” stories!
Q: Where do marshmallows come from?
A: Marshmallow trees!
Okay, so making up marshmallow jokes is harder than we thought. Maybe we should stick to creating healthy gourmet treats in a variety of mouthwatering and unique flavors. Because this one is no joke:
Q: What do you get when you combine gluten-free, gelatin-free marshmallows, organic brown rice, and gourmet spices?
A: Marshmallow Mischief!
If you try our delectable treats—also known as “blissful bites”—watch out, as this might happen to you:
Last night I dreamed I was eating some delicious, gourmet, all-natural marshmallow treats, and when I woke up, all my blissful bites were gone!
But don’t worry, you can contact us to order some more.
In Italy, Easter is a joyous celebration, featuring parades and decadent food. Because Easter is the end of the Lent season, food – and desserts — plays a big part in Italian celebrations. They treat their sweets with seriousness, using nothing but the freshest ingredients.
Two popular ingredients in Italian desserts are chocolate and hazelnuts. Combined now because they’re delicious together, chocolate and hazelnuts were originally combined for a much more practical reason. According to Nutella history at http://www.nutellausa.com/history.htm, there was a short supply of chocolate during World War II due to rationing. To extend the supply, Pietro Ferrero (an Italian chocolatier) used hazelnuts, which were plentiful in the northwest region of Italy.
Lucky for us, this delicious combination remained available long after chocolate rationing ended, and the two flavors were brought to the United States in 1983. Today, we have combined the sweetness of the hazelnut with our delicious milk chocolate – and then added our marshmallow to the mix – for an amazing treat called the Italian Kiss.
Celebrate Easter like the Italians this year with our Italian Kiss, and experience why the Italians love the amazing combination of hazelnut puree and milk chocolate. You won’t be able to resist the way the two flavors come together with the marshmallow – and we don’t want you to. This taste combination will satisfy your inner child’s sweet tooth while still being worldly enough for the adult in you.

Our Italian Kiss is so good, you just may want to ration them to make them last longer, as Ferrero did. Lucky for you, it’s easy to order more — contact us today! And if you “like” Marshmallow Mischief on Facebook, we’ll give you $5 off your order. Amore!
